Formed in 1907, Sorrento Golf Club is one of the oldest clubs in the Mornington Peninsula. The course was designed by J.D. Scott and later altered by Peter Thompson. The par 70 layout is an immaculate, undulating course with all year playability set on a sand and limestone base. It is not an overly long course, but there are many challenging holes that require good course management. Its generous Santa Anna couch fairways are surrounded by densely wooded plantations, and bent grass greens are moderately to heavily bunkered. Sorrento Golf Club is currently ranked No. 67 in Australia<.p>
