GLENELG GOLF CLUB

Glenelg Golf Club offers a true world class challenge and is recognised as one of Australia’s premier golfing facilities. Strategic design elements and impeccable turf quality provide a memorable challenge for all players experiencing the Par 71 layout. Originally designed by Herbert ‘Cargie’ Rymill, the course was renovated by Crafter + Mogford in 1998.

Although it has magnificent kikuyu fairways and poa annua greens, Glenelgs bunkering is considered its highlight, as the imposing walls of almost all the fairway bunkers provide little option but to blast out sideways or nominally forward as position becomes paramount.

Glenelg beautifully straddles that finest of fine lines in course architecture of testing every facet of the game for a variety of ability levels while remaining inherently playable. There are shots to tempt the daring player and avenues for the more timid throughout. Chances are you’ll walk off the 18th green eager to do it all again. Glenelg is currently ranked the No. 36 course in Australia
